Meet Your Chef

Welcome to the world of Adam Bahar, where culinary artistry meets personalized elegance. With a rich heritage of Persian and Scottish descent, Adam brings a unique blend of cultural influences to his cuisine. Currently residing in the beautiful city of Asheville, North Carolina, Adam’s journey as a chef is as diverse and vibrant as his background.

Adam's Journey

Adam’s culinary career began in his teenage years at Blue Provence, a renowned French restaurant in Florida. Here, he honed his skills in French cuisine and developed a deep appreciation for the art of cooking seafood, a staple from his coastal upbringing. Today, Adam is a member of the Executive Culinary team at Strada Italiano in Downtown Asheville, where he continues to master the craft of scratch-made pasta and other Italian dishes.

Warm hospitality and versatility are Adam’s hallmarks. Fluent in English and Spanish, his extensive travels across Colombia, Venezuela, the Caribbean, the continental United States, and parts of Canada have enriched his culinary repertoire, making him adept at creating a wide range of dishes that cater to diverse palates.

Recently, Adam embarked on a new chapter as a Private Chef, serving a discerning clientele who seek bespoke dining experiences. His commitment to using local, foraged, and wild-harvested ingredients sets him apart, as does his extensive knowledge in plant science gained by years of working in application and research for the North Carolina State University (NCSU) Mountain Horticulture Crops Research and Extension Center. Prior to NCSU, Adam worked for nearly 7 years in regional sales and small-batch brewing for one of Asheville's most established and renowned craft beer breweries.

Whether you desire an intimate dinner, a grand celebration, or a hands-on culinary class, Adam offers an experience that goes beyond the plate, infusing each dish with creativity, passion, and a touch of his unique heritage.

Adam resides locally with his wife Nicolette Baglio, who previously owned and operated a luxury hospitality company that managed boutique properties and provided distinct group experiences in Asheville, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica. Nicolette plays a customer service plus an event design and support role, and you'll likely encounter her first when you reach out.

When they're not cooking up the good stuff, Adam and Nicolette enjoy spending quality time with their 3 fur-kids, being out in nature, traveling, and eating their way through Asheville. We look forward to working with you!
